ESG has built gas and electric heated phosphate tanks for a wide range of applications. From an end dip tank for phosphating threads on pipes to basket dip tanks for providing coatings on couplings.
The biggest problem with phosphate systems are the build up of phosphate on the hot area of the burner tube. The buildup then insulates the tube and reduce heat transfer eventually causing the operator to shut down and remove the tube. In other cases tube will burn out in the area of excess heat.
We have developed a remotely heated phosphate system. The liquid is pumped from a remotely heated tank to the application tank. The benefits of this system is there are no fired tubes where the application is, the heating tank can be mechanically mixed to minimize build up on the gas fired tube, and the liquid returning to the application can be filtered. The main application tank stays clean.
